# PrintLapse — Privacy Policy

Effective as of 2026-07-27.

This privacy policy applies to the **PrintLapse** app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Ihor B (collectively, the "Application"). Ihor B is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".

**In short:** PrintLapse records timelapse videos of 3D prints. Your photos and videos stay on your device. The Service Provider operates no servers, has no user accounts, and never receives your images. The only information that leaves your device is purchase information, handled by Google Play and RevenueCat so that your purchase can be verified and restored.

## What the Application stores on your device
- **Photos captured during a print session.** The Application uses your device camera to take still images at intervals and saves them to app-specific storage on your device.
- **Exported videos.** When you export a session, the resulting MP4 is saved to your device's gallery (Movies/Millefeuille).
- **Session data.** Layer information, selected frames, and effect settings, stored in a local file alongside each session.
- **App settings.** Resolution, frame rate, tracking algorithm, and grid preferences.
- **A local cache of your purchase status,** so the Application knows you are a Pro user before it can reach the network.

None of this is transmitted to the Service Provider. Photos and session data are stored in app-specific storage and are removed when you uninstall the Application. Videos you export to your gallery remain there after uninstall, because they belong to you.

## What the Application does not collect

The Service Provider does not operate analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind. Specifically, the Application does **not** collect:
- your IP address, location, or device identifiers for advertising;
- which screens you open, how long you use the Application, or any behavioural data;
- your name, email address, phone number, or contacts;
- your photos or videos — these never leave your device unless you choose to share them.

There are no user accounts and no sign-in. The Application contains no cookies, web tracking pixels, or embedded browser content.

## Purchases

PrintLapse offers a one-time Pro unlock. Purchases are processed by **Google Play**, which acts as the merchant of record. The Service Provider never sees or receives your payment card details.

To verify your purchase and let you restore it on a new device, the Application uses **RevenueCat**, a purchase-management service. For this purpose RevenueCat receives and stores:
- a randomly generated, pseudonymous app user identifier that is not linked to your name or email;
- the purchase receipt issued by Google Play, and the resulting entitlement status;
- basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, country, and the app version.

This is the only processing of personal data associated with the Application, and its legal basis under the GDPR is the performance of a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)) — without it, a paid unlock could not be delivered or restored.

## Camera and storage permissions
- **Camera** — required, and used only to capture frames while a session is recording. The Application does not access your existing photo library.
- **Storage (Android 9 and older only)** — requested when you export, solely to write the finished video to your gallery. On Android 10 and newer this permission is not requested at all.

You can withdraw either permission at any time in your device settings. Withdrawing the camera permission stops recording; withdrawing storage permission on older devices stops export to the gallery.

## Sharing your videos

When you tap a share button, the Application hands the exported video to whichever app you select (for example Instagram or TikTok) through your device's standard sharing mechanism. From that moment the receiving app's own privacy policy applies. The Service Provider is not a party to that transfer and receives no copy.

## Third-party services

The Application uses the following third-party service, which has its own privacy policy:
- **RevenueCat** — purchase verification and restoration — [https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy](https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)
- **Google Play Billing** — payment processing — [https://policies.google.com/privacy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)

## International data transfers

RevenueCat processes data on infrastructure located in the United States. Where personal data of users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred outside those areas, the transfer relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or another legally recognised transfer mechanism relied on by the relevant provider.

## Data retention
- **Data on your device** — retained until you delete a session inside the Application, clear the app's data, or uninstall it. The Service Provider cannot delete it for you, because it is not accessible to the Service Provider.
- **Purchase records held by RevenueCat and Google Play** — retained by those providers in accordance with their own policies and any statutory record-keeping obligations that apply to them.
- **Exported videos in your gallery** — remain on your device, and are not deleted by uninstalling the Application.

The Service Provider maintains no database of users, and therefore has no personal data of its own to retain or erase.

## Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability.

Because the Service Provider holds no user database, most of these rights are exercised directly:
- **Access and deletion of your own content** — your photos, sessions, and videos are on your device and under your control.
- **Purchase data** — to request access to or deletion of the purchase record associated with your pseudonymous identifier, contact the Service Provider at besgmo@gmail.com. You will be asked for the Google Play order number, since it is the only way to locate the record.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

## Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

**The Service Provider does not sell or share personal information, and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.** To exercise your rights, contact the Service Provider at besgmo@gmail.com.

## Children

The Application is not directed to children under 13, or such higher age as may be required by applicable law in your jurisdiction. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, contact the Service Provider at besgmo@gmail.com and it will be deleted.

## Security

Because your photos, videos, and session data remain on your device, their security depends primarily on the security of the device itself. You are responsible for protecting access to your device.

Purchase data handled by RevenueCat and Google Play is transmitted over encrypted connections and protected by those providers' own security measures.

## Data breach notification

The Service Provider holds no user database, so a breach of the Service Provider's own systems could not expose your personal data. Should a breach nevertheless occur that affects personal data relating to you, the Service Provider will notify you and the competent supervisory authority where required by applicable law, including the nature of the breach and the steps taken in response.

## Changes

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, in particular if the Application begins to use additional services. Material changes will be announced by publishing an updated policy with a new effective date. Where the law requires consent to a material change, it will be requested before the change takes effect.

Previous versions are available on request at besgmo@gmail.com.
